1. IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT ENCHANT!'S PACKAGE.
There are three options for Part 4.
- Part 4MS1 adds Musyng-like drumkits.
- Part 4SD1 adds drumkits compatible with Part Sub D-1 of Starlight Dream.
- Part 4MU1 adds Yamaha MU-like drumkits (note: this is not complete support!).
-- A few patches are removed because these patches are non-free. --
2. HOW TO INSTALL ENCHANT?
Install by dragging soundfont files from the Enchant! installation folder. Now Enchant! can be used with any soundfont player that supports large soundfonts.
3. WHAT'S NEW?
5.4 adds some new drum kits, and removes all the non-free samples.
4. WHAT'S BEEN REMOVED?
A few non-free sounds have been permanently removed.
5. WHAT'S LEFT TO ADD TO ENCHANT?
Starlight Dream compatible patches.
6. I'VE FOUND A BUG IN ENCHANT!
If you find bugs in Enchant!, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will fix it in the next release of the Soundfont.
7. I CAN'T OPEN ENCHANT!
Some soundfont players cannot support large soundfonts. See the drivers portion of the DSOUNDFONT Guide at www.sites.google.com/site/strixsoundfont/dsoundfont/dsoundfont-guide/drivers for more information about what soundfont players will and will not accept Enchant!.
If you can not use a soundfont player that supports large soundfonts, try "Starlight Dream" by Stardream Studios (Elf of Happy and Love). It is smaller and has Roland SC-8820/8850 support.
8. I'VE GOT A NEW PATCH YOU HAVEN'T GOT!
Please send me an email at email@example.com containing a .sf2 soundfont file containing the patch that I have not got. It will be checked for quality, and if it is good enough, it will be implemented into Enchant! in the future.
9. WHAT IS COMING SOON IN ENCHANT?
Version 6.0 of Enchant! will have a different structure. All Starlight Dream mapped sounds will be removed. A new soundfont with version 6.0 as well will include the Starlight Dream mapped sounds.
THERE WILL BE NO SFZ VERSION OF ENCHANT! This is because the sfz format is non-monolithic. It is split, but due to technical limitations.
